Background
Maximilian Gumpoldsberger has worked as a lawyer in Wels since 1989 and has been a managing partner of SAXINGER since 2000.
Maximilian Gumpoldsberger completed his degree in law (Mag.iur.) and doctorate in law (Dr.iur.) at the University of Salzburg in 1981 and after his internship at Wels District and Regional Court, he worked at a bank in Linz from 1983 to 1984 and was an associate in Wels from 1984 to 1988. From 1983 to 1984, he attended an intensive course in business administration and in 1996/97 did a Master’s course in “European and International Commercial Law” at the University of St. Gallen, graduating in 1997 with the Master’s title “M.B.L.-HSG”.
Maximilian Gumpoldsberger has been an examinations commissioner for lawyer and magistrate examinations in the judicial district of Linz Upper Regional Court from 1995 to 2020.

Maximilian Gumpoldsberger has substantial experience in the area of intellectual property; he represents domestic and foreign companies in the registration and defence of their intellectual property rights (e.g. trademark, design, patent rights) before all national and international authorities and courts, but also in the judicial and extrajudicial contesting of anti-competitive activities of third parties.
He is the editor of an extensive commentary on the law against unfair competition.
Maximilian Gumpoldsberger plans and administers asset (e.g. endowments, wills) and corporate successions. He also has special expertise in positively concluding insolvency and restructuring cases arising from insolvency proceedings, and also in carrying out asset acquisitions from insolvency proceedings.
